Specifically:
Core heating element: Inside the dew heater strip, there is usually a flexible resistance heating wire (such as nichrome wire) or a carbon fiber heating film. When connected to a power source, an electric current passes through these resistive elements, converting electrical energy into heat.
Heat transfer: The generated heat is evenly transferred to the lens barrel through the fabric layer of the dew heater strip, slightly raising the overall temperature of the lens.
Anti-fog principle: The fundamental cause of lens fogging is that the temperature of the lens is lower than the "dew point temperature" of the environment, causing water vapor in the air to condense into small water droplets on the cold lens. By heating, the dew heater strip keeps the lens temperature consistently above the dew point, effectively preventing water vapor condensation and keeping the lens clear.
