RTD wiring and insertion geometry
PT100 RTD Temperature Sensor: Match the named platinum resistance sensor to the controller’s configured input. Confirm the resistance designation, accuracy class and 2-, 3- or 4-wire arrangement before connecting the probe.
Insertion depth, probe diameter and mounting contact affect response and measurement error. Route the signal cable away from heater power wiring and review cable resistance for the selected connection scheme.
