Thermocouple alloy and junction selection
Thermo Couple Sensor: Match thermocouple type, polarity and extension cable to the controller input. Select protection-tube material and grounded or ungrounded junction for the atmosphere, electrical noise and response required.
Define insertion depth and the mechanical support at the process connection. A temperature stated in a product name needs confirmation for the complete probe assembly, cable transition and continuous duty.

Description
Thermocouple is a temperature measuring device consisting of two dissimilar conductors that contact each other at one or more spots. It produces a voltage when the temperature of one of the spots differs from the reference temperature at other parts of the circuit

K type thermocouple is a type of thermocouple that is commonly used to measure temperatures in a variety of industrial and scientific applications.
It is made of two different types of metals, usually chromel and alumel, that are joined together to form a junction.
A PT100 is a type of Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) widely used for precise temperature measurement. It is named for its material (Platinum) and its resistance at 0°C (100 ohms). When the junction is exposed to a temperature difference, a voltage is generated across the junction, which can be measured and used to determine the temperature.
