Thermocouple J Type: Match thermocouple type, polarity and extension cable to the controller input. Select protection-tube material and grounded or ungrounded junction for the atmosphere, electrical noise and response required.
Define insertion depth and the mechanical support at the process connection. A temperature stated in a product name needs confirmation for the complete probe assembly, cable transition and continuous duty.

Description
Type J Bayonet Thermocouple is a sensor that measures temperature. It consists of two different types of metals, joined together at one end. When the junction of the two metals is heated or cooled, a voltage is created that can be correlated back to the temperature. Thermocouple alloys are commonly available as wire.
